From head to toe, Ryuto breathes a Yakuza's appearance. Wild blonde hair he got from his mom's side. The sides are shaved and have designs on them. His jagged eyelashes tend to grasp the attention of people he is speaking to. His eyes are brown, which he gets from his father. He has a solid neck and defined shoulders. His muscles are a testament to his training and bloody fights he's been in. His toned muscles tend to poke through his clothes but his suit manages to keep them hidden. On his back is the visage of a tiger and a snake fighting, symbolizing Ryuto and his father's relationship.
On his right arm is the visage of another tiger. This symbolizes his mother, who he got most of his personality from. The sunflower near his wrist was his mother's favorite flower. When he looks at it, it tends to keep him calm. The tattoo really pops with how well Ryuto's muscles are developed. The ferociousness of the tiger is a great comparison to Ryuto's mother. But a bear would also fit very well. The tattoo also helps with concealing the various minor cuts and scars he has all over his body. You can still see them if you focus enough(imagine something akin to Baki's body).
On the left arm tattoo sleeve is a multitude of cherry blossoms. It's Ryuto's favorite flower/tree. He finds the color soothing. It also reminds him of a cherry blossom tree that his mother gave him to grow. It burned in the fire that followed the night of betrayal. While it soothes him it also reminds him of that night and gives him the motivation to continuously grow in strength. It also happens to be his uncle's favorite tree as well. So when Ryuto received the tattoo his uncle was proud of him. He and his uncle have a secret code should something happen and he couldn't speak about it. he would touch the first flower tattooed on Ryuto's body and the only person who knows that is his uncle himself.
The tattoos on his chest down to his ribs are various symbols of his clan with the faces of his uncle and closest relatives so they know they are always on his mind and he will do everything in his power to help them. Onto his suit though which is a standard black with a white shirt and black tie. Ryuto doesn't stray fro this look and is quite fond of the look. Even if he resembles his father, that man won't deter what he enjoys and doesn't. His shoes being of combat-oriented black dress shoes that are supposed to give off a feeling of class while being comfortable and easy to fight in.
Personality: Overview: Living in the underworld of yakuza isn't forgiving, nor can any joe schmo attempt to get anything worthwhile from it. It takes particular individuals to live and thrive in the environment set before them. Ryuto is a rare case though, he is one of the few babies that survive a year being born in such an oppressive upbringing. Due to his circumstances, Ryuto is much more erratic than other Yakuza, he is also even more mentally different. Witnessing so much bloodshed from a young age, Ryuto often confided in his mother. But after a certain event in his life that would change him forever, his outlook has become much darker and bleak. But due to the time spent with his mother, often being called a momma's boy for doing so, shaped his personality to be quite light-hearted as well. Only rarely coming out when he is around people he truly trusts.
Do you fear death?: Anyone would be changed with how much bloodshed Ryuto has witnessed. How often he has been at death's door, only to be dragged back. Ryuto is a person who doesn't bat an eye to death anymore, he has been conditioned for it to become the norm for him. Also due to Ryuto's upbringing, his first instinct might be to kill someone instead of talking it out. As the latter tends to get you killed less. People who have interacted with this young master can tell that he doesn't react appropriately to death or the possibility of. Ryuto at the price of his own life is willing to acquire strength to make a way for himself. With the possibility of being captured looming over him every day, this heir has no other choice but to reach new heights of strength.
Family above all else: Ryuto values his Family/Crew members above everything. With how he lives in the underworld, trustworthy comrades are too few and far between. With something so highly coveted, Ryuto understands it needs to be treasured and protected. So when a conflict that deals with a member of his family, he does whatever possible and necessary to carry out business. It's as if Ryuto is a momma bear and when his metaphorical cubs are in danger he turns into a wild beast. It's a trait that he has inherited from his mother and one of the reasons he came to her when he had a problem rather than his cold unimpressed father. Without a shadow of a doubt Ryuto would lay his life down for his clan and it's members and would do so with the biggest smile on his face.
Hot-blooded: Due to Ryuto being around his father, and his father being an Underworld Emperor, Ryuto has also acquired bad traits from him as well. One of them being a short temper. Ryuto tends to irritated when things don't his way and often becomes loud and yells to let others know. Civil and calm discourse isn't exactly in his vocabulary nor would it remain if to somehow found itself on its pages. When Ryuto is actually angry steam will usually bellow out of his nostrils. But it's rare for him to become enraged, someone would have had to attack one of his clan members or made fun of his mother. Which he treats either as a death sentence and he wouldn't rest until either he dies or the offender is left in a heap of his or her own blood.
Decent Guy: Ryuto had such a strong connection to his mother, her most noticeable trait, the very trait that led to her doom, her compassion, is what Ryuto prides the most about himself. But it is also Ryuto's biggest weakness, the want- no the need to help those in need is what makes Ryuto different from most yakuza. He makes money robbing, killing putting just generally vile guys in their place. Now Ryuto isn't a good person, but he is a decent one. One he feels his mother would be proud of if she were still around. His personality is what people find in him interesting, with his upbringing how is he not another stone-cold heartless killer? Or a puppet to a higher power? You have Nina Turner to thank for that.
Unstoppable Force: In combat, unlike most Yakuza who use swords or weapons. The only thing Ryuto uses is his two callus ridden fist. With a guest visit of brass or some other sort of material knuckles. Smashing and blowing through opposition, using martial arts to the height of their capabilities. Ryuto is all about straightforward face bashing. He leaves plans and ideas to people more suited for it. It's also something Ryuto picked up from his mother, being almost an unstoppable force of pure unbridled rage and will. Ryuto when serious will often take off his coat and tie so he is less hindered. In hand to hand combat, even the slightest advantage can lead to winning or losing. Ryuto is even willing or reckless to put a part of his body in even more harms way just to secure a victory. Scars are valued very highly by Ryuto. It shows him how much of a fighter you are and how serious you are about combat.
[*]Dislikes: Needless Slaughter, Slavery, Being Wet, Sneak Attacks
[*]Interest: Money, Strength
[*]Disinterest: Slavery
[*]Morality Alignment: Chaotic Neutral(But usually hinges on good)
Future: A Well Respected Underworld Emperor
Dream/Goal: To Kill his wretched father and take over the Empire
Job: Brawler/Fighter Name: Fist Of The Oni Background: A fighting style Ryuto developed from watching his uncle, where techniques are pushed to the back while brute strength and power are used to overwhelm and cause destruction. It was derived from Henry Turner's lack of tack and impressive physique. Combat Potential: With single blows, level buildings and with enough force smash even the hardest of materials with your bare hands. Non-Combat Potential: N/A
It starts with an idea, right? An idea of power and fame or something more akin to the complete dominance or obedience of others. The south is riddled with parallels and dangers not known to other seas. And the same goes for the oceans as each has their "gimmick". Do you believe that an empire can be built from a farce? Have you heard of the saying fake it til you make it? Various kingdoms and dynasties have both been built and torn down from omissions of truth. The south and its underworld environment have been stale and stagnant until a few decades ago when one man managed to turn a lie into an unstoppable empire. Daizen Gouki: the Underworld Emperor of Arms, if someone wants to sell any sort of weapon, Daizen knows who is selling the said item and who it is being sold to and for what price. His empire is broad and its depth is only known to him and a select few individuals near him. But he wasn't always this intimidating figure whose mere presence sends chills down the spine of everyone around him.
He used to be Daizen the Deceiver. An infamous merchant is known for selling shoddy equipment, but fabricating its durability and it's worth causing multiple deaths from doing so. His main target would-be travelers who seemed new to the south and would scam them out of their money, selling them not so much the item but the "story" of the item to get the customer excited and fall for the trap. Unbeknownst to them, it is a dull sometimes even wooden sword or pistol that would break upon first use. He would begin to gather riches from his exploits and would start just first company. The interactions he had from other merchants weren't that of praise nor was it of animosity. He would be completely avoided at all costs, as his name now came with the weight of tainted products, and for most merchants that would be a death sentence for your business and eventually yourself. But Daizen had an idea, he was to pose as other merchants when they weren't present in the area and would tell his shoddy items with their names. Now you can imagine how furious those individuals would become when they finally learned of his treachery.
But before that, we must go into how Daizen would procure these faulty items and why he would sell them in the first place. After failing to turn his declining family business of antiques and the tax from the local thugs in the area completely draining his families' funds, Daizen's mother would fall ill from the annual flu that would sweep through Baterilla. Being unable to procure medicine that would aid his mother in recovery and losing her to the sickness would crack something in Daizen. He truly loved his mother more than anything in the world as Daizen's father fled before he was born. So from the get-go, it was just Daizen and his mother vs the world. And when the world took his mother Daizen promised to take the world, as the saying goes and eye for an eye. Daizen's mother was basically his world as she would be the one to teach him everything he knows. His cunning comes from her, his slyness almost his entire being, molded by her and when that left him he had nothing else to lose. So he would start arguments between 2 or sometimes more individuals and watch them fight to the death. And afterward, he would collect the person's belonging and would resale them as is.
It didn't matter if the item had cracks, he would paint it so that it would look brand new, and if the gun's barrel was broken Daizen would attach and shave the wood to fit the gun as best as possible, ending the "repair" with a fresh new coat of paint. His favorite areas to go to would be bars and start a massive bar fight, leaving in his wake multitudes of dead bodies. Now after Daizen had set up his first company and after the merchants learned of his impersonation of them they would band together and would burn down his company. Leaving Daizen with nothing once again. Until he met a hooded figure and offered Daizen the one thing he craved most, the world. The figure said he was inspired by Daizen's slyness and determination to make money. So he would task Daizen would a very important task. Run his special shop of weapons and all his worries would be solved. This figure's mere presence would almost suck the life out of Daizen, almost giving him no choice but to say yes. But for Daizen to place blame on anyone but himself would be a....lie.
So this hooded figure would begin to teach Daizen of what the Underworld was. And how to handle himself from now on. But first things first he was going to need to take over those merchants that burned down his company, by force. And using the armed forces of the still unknown patron, Daizen would take control of the market of Baterilla. But from what the figure told him, that was just a start. The real expanse is going to occur once they start taking over and setting up markets on other islands. But they would need to do so under the nose of the government, less Daizen wanted his revived wish burned down to the ground once more? The relationship of Daizen and the hooded figure was that of almost master and slave. Daizen took orders and carried out the wishes of the hooded figure, it was almost as if...Daizen's wish wasn't coming to fruiten, almost as if Daizen was being used as a scapegoat for if things went south, Daizen would be the first one they go to. But how was Daizen going to take control over someone or something that had the ability to erase Daizen as if he never existed? So perhaps the greatest deceiver the south has ever or will ever lay their eyes on would begin his ploy of taking control of the underground business of his patron. The patron that never trusted Daizen with a face nor a name, which made sense for 2 reasons, as this figure worked in shady business so a face or a name could lead back to him. And two, if you have a name you have a weakness. No if and or but about it, so the masked patron's anonymity made more than enough sense. If the only Daizen knew his name he could begin to construct a plan...and that's when it hit him. If he couldn't sneakily reveal his patron, why not reveal him in public but in such a fashion that the patron would have no other way to react but calmly. So Daizen would begin to plot his biggest scam he could think of. After hearing news of this Escaped convict and her escapades in the calm belt, he would begin his ploy. He would begin to spread false rumors that the convict was in the area, but not enough information to give away where specifically. It was an advantage of the word of mouth and how bold rumors can become once spread from person to person.
In the year 745, Daizen Gouki would turn 40. An old man yes, but still filled with life and enough vigor to make even the oldest of ladies dance. In this year, Daizen would spring his plan after planting rumors on various islands where markets were set up. From karate island to briss kingdom. Daizen's decade of service was going to end this year, with the head of the snake being cut off and being replaced with a better one. See the patron's main weakness Daizen figured out was that he didn't have anyone too close to him. And while that is also a strength it can also be used to much more as a weakness. No one to defend him, or her. Their voice was quite monotone. Not giving a definitive gender and their body type was slender, but there was enough meat on their bones to deter them from the female option. The patron was quite the oddity for Daizen, but if he dwelled on it he might have given away some sort of clue towards his plan with all the time he and the patron would have spent.
The day came when the rumor landed that an escaped convict was on the island Baterilla and its effect would lead the forces of Cipher Pol, the government's intelligence agency to investigate. Of course, Daizen would inform the patron who was looking over sales documents and told Daizen he had already learned of Daizen's plan.
"Daizen...do you know the amount of power I hold? The people that come to me would tear you limb from limb if I were to disappear...." The patron would place his face in his palms as he began to think about the punishment- no execution he was going to conduct on Daizen.
Daizen would return the threats with pompous grandeur. "You idiot, did you truly believe that I would sit still and take orders from anyone? Let alone a man who wouldn't even show his face!" And that is when it happened, the reveal that would change the south's underworld scene forever. With his hood revealed, the masked man would finally show his face to Daizen and his face would sent electricity through his entire body. It would leave his knees weak and his arms would tremble in a stupor. What Daizen would be gazing at would be an almost exact copy of himself. Quite older, but that man...what was Daizen looking at? There would be a moment of silence that seemed as if the commotion outside never occurred. As if Cipher Pol agents weren't about to burst through those doors. This void of silence would be expunged with a burst of laughter from the man.
"Hello son, It is I your father, Gouken Gouki." Another wave of dead silence would wash over both men once more. There probably wouldn't be enough emotions that could describe what raced through Daizen's mind. Shock, Excitement, Sadness, Regret, were just a few of the multitudes of raw emotion that would flood his mind. Until one was left, Anger. "WHERE WERE YOU! YOU LEFT US ALL ALONE AND NOW MOTHER IS GONE! IF YOU WERE THERE..." So much pent up rage would be flooding out, accompanied by the sadness of the memory of his mother. Daizen, a 40-year-old man, bawling his eyes out on the floor of a building that was in the process of being raided. For the first time in a long time, Gouken would have this feeling of sorrow. As if he made a mistake in chasing his dream of controlling the biggest underground market known to man. But why did such a grand dream seem too minimal to the pain his son was experiencing. A third and final void of speaking would fill the room, this room being around 10 by 10 feet, old and dusty. Why did it seem so bright all of a sudden?
Gouken would sigh, he was faced with the biggest decision he could make, second only to parting ways with his family for his dream. Gouken would begin fiddling with his cloak and would begin to adjust his voice. It would only take a moment for Gouken to write something and would leave it on the desk. "Good luck.....son." This voice was definitely deeper but also a bit less serious. This would stop Daizen from continuing his weeping and would look onto his father for the first time in his life. But before Daizen could say a word the door would burst open with 3 individuals with black suits would present themselves.
"Roy "Far Cry" Wolfen?" the figure in the middle would ask, but for some reason, he couldn't see the figures face. The dust obscured his vision alongside the tears that were slowing but still flowed from his eyes. Gouken would simply laugh before exclaiming to the three, "GOVERNMENT DOGS, YOU WILL NEVER STOP THE FAR CRY MOVEMENT!" Continue his charade he would dive out of the window and would proceed to disappear into the nearby greenery causing the 3 agents to give chase out the same window and into the same greenery. After calming himself down Daizen would pick himself up and would look on the desk to see what his father had written. It's content simple, Daizen would proceed control over all of Gouken's assets and would assume the position of leader in his steed. Daizen realizing what just occurred made his way out of the building sneakily and would disappear into the crowd of civilians outside onlooking the situation. What Daizen would do after would be the stuff of legend, building his underworld empire and becoming an official underworld emperor and if his father were to return he knows that he would first punch the bastard with all his might for his mother. And second, show him all he achieved and the empire they built together with a lie.
the stillness of the night seemed to ever linger as the life of a very important individual was being born. The woes from the newborn would fill the room filled with only 5 people: Gouken Gouki, Nina Turner, Henry Turner, and the two maids helping with the birth. Nina would cradle her baby and would smile as one of the maids instructed her that she had given birth to a boy. It was what she and Gouken wanted so when he heard the news, he jumped and screamed for joy. Something even Nina didn't see often so it took her by surprise. Henry even more so, seeing as this was an Underworld Emperor he was next to. The ever so cold and calculating, stern kill joy that Gouken was. He found it hard for Nina to fall for such a guy but every time he asked her about it she would simply remark that he never got to see Gouken's good sides. It was hard for Henry to imagine, but he trusted his sister probably more than anyone in the world so if she trusted Gouken, he would place his trust in him as well.
The first few years for Ryuto were calm, he was mainly attended to by his mother but when she had business she would leave Ryuto with a trusted maid. Ryuto rarely spent time with his father between the ages of 1-4 as work for him would take the forefront of his attention. But whenever he seemed to interact with him, as far as Ryuto could recall, he was always a stern but somewhat cheerful man. One of the few happy memories he could recall was the day Ryuto was taught what Beli was. The way Daizen explained it to Ryuto was that Beli was a magical item that allowed Ryuto to get anything he wanted. Because as Daizen explained it, as long as it drew breath it required currency. Ryuto could remember seeing his father's face become a bit less charismatic and more sinister but would soon return to its light-hearted disposition. That face was to always linger in Ryuto's mind when the topic of Beli was brought up. It didn't sour the conversation for him, but it stained it for him. There were a multitude of things he tried to teach Ryuto and if his mother didn't but in who knows what kind of person he would be today.
From ages 5-10 was physical training. He was taught how to do a correct push-up, sit up, and various other work out techniques both conventional and not. Some of the more torturous workouts were balancing on two poles with buckets on each leg. An additional 2 bucks were added after Ryuto managed to get this particular work out down. It's a work out to build immense leg muscle, as after an hour or two the legs feel as if they are on fire. It was probably Ryuto's most dreaded workout to go through as his legs would feel sore for days on end afterward. The only reason Ryuto continued the training even after days where he couldn't move due to the soreness and had to have maids tend to him was his mother. She was not only his cheerleader but also overlooked his training. And she was as brutal as she was merciful if that made any sense. There were cheat days that Ryuto and his mother would keep from his father. Nina knew that at some moment with all this tough training any child would quit and stonewall until he was free from doing so. So she gave Ryuto days where he could rest and eat anything he wanted, which wasn't too far from the training menu anyway so it worked out well for everyone.
After Ryuto turned 10, he would be tasked with self-training for his body and would go onto education. Which would be taught mostly by Uncle Henry but bits and pieces would be handled by Daizen as he wanted to teach Ryuto some things about the world as well. This was rare as Daizen was usually occupied by work and didn't have time for anyone besides his office. But it seems he was adamant about teaching his son and bestowing some "wisdom" on him. These lessons would usually comprise of the main subject and 3 minor subjects that branch off of the main subject. For instance, Ryuto's first lesson which was taught by Henry was about the alphabet with it's 3 minor subjects being words, past and present tense, compound words. Of course, minor subjects can be turned into the main subjects which they usually were. But for context, this is what the lessons usually were like to an extent. Of course, tangents and the like could derail topics onto subjects that the lessons weren't about but that is neither here nor there.
Lessons with Daizen would go a bit differently though. Instead of a structured lesson that the teacher and student could go through, it was more like a guide if anything. Daizen would tell Ryuto about past excursions and tales from the crypt sort of. Ryuto didn't know the true fate of these "characters" Daizen would dub them. These tales would always have a grand lesson Daizen wanted to teach his son. There isn't most Ryuto can remember as he tends to cut off things about his father, but he could recall one of the stories being, a father and his son went fishing and the father would catch fish left and right all day. The son said that he wasn't catching any fish, would plant his rod, and would go looking for insects. As soon as the son left, his fishing rod would be pulled from the hole that it was planted in and a giant fin would be seen piercing through the water before dipping back under. Ryuto would be confused by this story and would ask his father what it meant.
"Dad, I don't understand, what is this story supposed to teach me? Don't go looking for insects?" And one of the few times he would hear his father laugh would also cause Ryuto to chuckle himself before Daizen would speak up."The story is supposed to teach you patience. Had the boy waited just a while longer he would have been able to catch a fish bigger and fatter than any fish his father could have caught in his dreams! Patience Ryuto, no matter what, even if it kills you, you must have patience. It is one of the most crucial things I've learned since-" Ryuto would ask after his father stopped speaking. "Since what Dad?" Daizen's face would straighten, noticeable to anyone but Ryuto that he was trying to put away a bad memory. "Nothing son, now want to hear another story!?"
Once Ryuto turned 18 he was told about the family business and how serious it was. Ryuto, of course, would be a bit resistant about the work but would conduct himself in accordance to his title. He would perform as such as well, being noted as a convincing bodyguard for the goods. It wasn't boring for Ryuto to put it simply, having to both dodge the law enforcement, come up with convincing stories for the goods on the fly, and defend the goods from other Underworld businesses trying to finagle the items for themselves. It was a tough job but physical training didn't slow down after 10, it sped up actually by leaps and bounds. It helped Ryuto with 2 things, his physical capabilities and his tolerance for pain. These nights were either long and boring, or long and tiring. Neither Ryuto found particularly fun to participate in. His fun lied in the time he had off, causing trouble for Marines. He had a game he played with other people he was guarding with and sometimes even the "goods" or people he was guarding. He did these jobs for half a decade where he earned himself countless scars to show. He wasn't fond of these scars though, it only reminded him of the mistakes he made during fights and that just made him want to train more. Not for the sake of becoming strong but so that he wouldn't get hurt.
Misguided training isn't very efficient as usually when you see a problem you work on that until he isn't a problem for you. But for someone who was raised in an environment where even if you don't make a mistake, you can still end up severely hurt or even dead. Being outmatched isn't a far fetched idea that Ryuto made sure to remind himself of every morning of everyday. Being content with your strength is the first step to losing eventually losing a fight. Which surprisingly Ryuto was told by both his mother and father. Ryuto doesn't know when but those two around the age of 21 for Ryuto, Daizen became increasingly distant from Ryuto's mother and by extension Ryuto. The only thing Ryuto could think of that separated the two even more besides work was either more work or...Ryuto. He could tell that his father wasn't happy that Ryuto turned out like his mother, being caught trying to play or help out "goods" by others. Nina loved that Ryuto did that, but Daizen saw that as a flaw.
He was too merciful to the weak, leaving him open to being manipulated by them. And the only person he could truly blame for that development is Ryuto's mother Nina. She passed her weakness onto him, making what Daizen phrased as "A Vulnerable Heir". Ryuto would hear from one of their frequent arguments. That seemed to spike up in frequency until a really bad one broke out. It was during one of these fights the unthinkable would occur. Daizen almost as if he was in a daze or intoxicated which was rare even for the old man, got into another fight in which he called Ryuto a trash spawn and said he was going to need to start over for a proper heir. To which Nina struct his face full force to the face, enraged Daizen would wrap his hands over the throat of Nina and would grip down with all the force of his body until she laid limp. Killed in a drunken rage, Daizen would stumble back at what he had done. Blabbering something about a temptress. Ryuto would bust in after he heard his mother no longer and after seeing his mother on the floor, filled with nothing but deep sadness he would run off.
He wouldn't stop running until he reached his uncle Henry and would tell him everything. His uncle showing anger never present before would punch a hole in the wall so massive he would be able to walk through it. And that he did, he and Ryuto would run away and off the island. Henry saying that Daizen would want you dead from knowing the truth probably. So for now they were going to have to be constantly on the move. If Ryuto was captured by any one of Daizen's forces he might either be captured alive or killed on site. And just as Henry predicted a message went out to all members of the Gouki Conglomerate: Ryuto Gouki has murdered his mother and was wanted dead or alive. As such he was no longer the heir to the Gouki Conglomerate and should be treated as such. Anyone that aided him knowing who he was would be treated as a traitor as well, so Henry was already on that list which was bound to grow knowing how many people truly knew Ryuto and his mother.
Currently, Ryuto has been on the run for 2 years, fending off assailant after assailant. Fending for himself, never staying anywhere in the south for longer than 3 days. Even rougher training and the constant fear of dying in his sleep. Such a life takes a toll on anyone living it and there are days where Ryuto wants to just end it and be with his mother. But with the words of his uncle, Ryuto pushes forth again and again when he feels as if he should give up. Constantly reminded of the words of his mother being "Don't Quit until you have ABSOLUTELY nothing left" Ryuto never truly understood that saying until she was gone. And now it was too late to thank her for everything she did for him. Ryuto doesn't cry nor was he a baby but why did he cry like one? He remember how she cared for him more than anything and how she talked to proudly of him. Ryuto was going to make sure to end his Daizen's life and purge the clan of all his followers. So Ryuto made a promise to both his mother and his uncle that he wouldn't die until Daizen Gouki was dead first.
