BOUNTYA bounty is a World Government issued reward placed on a criminal's head. Engaging in activities deemed criminal by the World Government or associating with groups which engage in them is enough to warrant significant bounties even if the criminal is not powerful themselves. In particular, direct opposition to the World Government, no matter the reason, is treated as a serious offense, and bounties are issued accordingly. The higher one’s bounty is, the more prone they are to upsetting the balance of the world that the World Government controls.
Bounties are assigned/updated at the end of each month.
Bounty is gained case by case. There is no predetermined amount of Bounty gained for committing certain acts.
Epithets such as Strawhat Luffy or Black Leg are typically given when someone gains a Bounty of at least 65,000,000. They are agreed upon between the player it concerns and the moderator assigning it.
Bounties can either be “Wanted Dead or Alive” or “Wanted Alive”. To turn in a “Wanted Alive” Bounty dead is pointless.
Dead turn-ins only award you with 50% of the listed Bounty since a public execution cannot be held. Turning in a Bounty alive pays out 100%.
Bounties are only terminated after death.
Upon becoming a Shichibukai, one's Bounty becomes frozen. This means it can no longer rise until that person is no longer a member of the Seven Warlords.
For a Bounty to exceed 100,000,000, the assignee must have done a very unlawful deed.
Once a Bounty reaches 300,000,000 it becomes more difficult for it to go higher.
For most Pirates to have a Bounty is an honor, it’s like a sport. It grants one notoriety and influence. That said we'll talk about the Bounty Average and Noteworthy Bounties for each area. If your Bounty floats around the Average Bounty of the ocean you're in, people who aren't enforcing the law won't really bat an eye at you unless you make a scene. The closer you are to the Noteworthy Bounties, you'll begin to be easily recognized. This can obviously be a very bad thing, but it can possibly be good as well. These values fluctuate regularly to show how dangerous the seas are forecasted to be.
PRESTIGEPrestige, is the notoriety of your character within the world. The greater your amount of Prestige, the more well known your name is and deeds are. Unlike Bounty, Prestige is something players from all Factions can amass, for it is linked to the World Power hierarchy and the things you've done in relation to your Faction's interest. The more you have, the higher the ranks you can achieve. It's one of the key indicators as to how influential your character has grown throughout the points in their journey.
Prestige can only be gained by achieving and causing things that have an effect on a larger scale. This limits Prestige to being earned from Events, Arcs, Campaigns, or Free Topics where the unbelievable happens.
