Name: Karate Island Bank: C Warehouse: C Major: No Benefactor: Arms Turf: Copper Den Components: Arms|Fishmen|Long-Leg|Long-Arm Environments: Plains|Hills Size: Medium Inhabited: Yes Description: Originally, Karate Island was a massive island with rolling hills and lush, green valleys that was home to hundreds of distinctive tribes of indigenous peoples. Each tribe practiced their own martial art, evolving over time as they clashed against other tribes not out of a thirst for war, but out of love for refining their arts. However, Yagyu-Moto changed everything when he chose this island as the new home to his fighting pits.
When the island was chosen as Yagyu-Moto's underground fighting ring, it wasn't sieged by warships and taken quickly, but was turned on by excavators contracted by Moto to hollow out the ground. Over the years, the island has been turned into a honeycomb shape, with pockets dug into the earth to make the island not just a location, but a literal abundance of fighting pits. These pits range in size from smaller than a manhole to large enough to hold small villages.
Not even the excavators know just how many holes were dug or how deep they all go. Rumor has it that a man could hide for decades without worry. Now-a-days, the people who were here before Moto, Fishmen, Long-Legs, and Long-Arms, have settled on the outer parts of the island and do participate in the festivities. In these removed areas where the native people reside you can oftentimes find dojos dedicated to their martial arts. Encyclopedia: - Lore: - Technology: Common
