Age: 26 Race: Human Faction: Pirate Gender: Male Height: 8'6 Weight: 573
Appearance: Raphael is a tall dark-skinned man, standing at 8 feet 6 inches tall. This height is complimented by Raphael athletic build, as his lean and muscular frame makes it evident that he is powerful . Raphael's eyes are green, and shift between a dark emerald shade and a lighter lime green color. Raphael has blue hair that is trimmed short to the point that it barely covers his ears. His hair is a source of pride for him, so he goes out of his way to ensure that it is properly done and makes an effort to keep it looking good. That same level of attention and care are given to his nails, which always look well maintained and clean.
Raphael prefers to dress simply, usually wearing a plain white tunic and white shorts along with a pair of simple sandals. This attire is perfect for him as it looks good despite not being flashy, and is also easy to remove if he would need to do so for whatever reason. Raphael usually doesn't care too much about his clothes, preferring to put effort into his actual body instead. That being said, he has been known to wear a set of golden jewelry which includes a pair of earrings and a chain which goes around his neck. Raphael typically doesn't wear his gold unless he had a special reason to, but if he ever has cause to celebrate he will surely be seen putting in that little bit of extra effort.
Personality: Raphael is very stubborn and headstrong. When he has his mind on something he is very difficult to deter from it. Raphael feels very strongly about certain topics like the world government, and it would be very difficult if not impossible to change his mind and make him feel differently about that topic. Raphael loves to argue, and will launch into furious debate at the slightest provocation. Some people find this trait of Raphael annoying and unappealing but he doesn’t really see a problem because he is just very passionate and he doesn’t even see himself as stubborn. Raphael is a highly driven individual, with clearly defined goals and every intention in the world of achieving them. His stubbornness comes into play alongside his ambition, making the chances of Raphael giving up on something he wants to accomplish almost non existent. That isn't to say that Raphael is unwilling to accept defeat or retreat when necessary, the opposite is true in fact. Raphael believes that his failures will only serve to make him better in the long run, and believes that refusing to accept when he's failed would be foolish.
Raphael's attitude towards women is one of respect, even though Raphael is a massive horn-dog. Getting every woman he meets into bed is a personal goal of his, and even though he is unsuccessful the majority of the time, his successes make up for it in his mind. Raphael understands that women are equally effective as men when it comes to combat, and has an extreme love for powerful women. A women who can hold her own on the battlefield is sure to draw his attention, and Raphael will immediately become obsessed with any woman who is able to match him in combat. He doesn't only pursue the strongest women though, as Raphael is a lover of all women, and is equally unable to resist the charms of a damsel in distress. Raphael will always come to the defense of women, so long as they do not make themselves his enemy. When Raphael label's a woman an enemy, only then does he see her as ugly, with most women to him appearing to be beautiful queens.
Following his betrayal at the hands of his former employer, Raphael begins to become obsessed with power. His understanding is that the noble was able to control him for years and eventually set him up all due to the power that came with his noble status, so the desire to gain power is now at the forefront of Raphael's mind. Raphael knows that power isn't something he was blessed with, as he grew up poor and had to steal in order to survive. Instead, Raphael is consumed with thoughts of how to get more power for himself, and is usually plotting in order to do so. Following the advice of his mentor Benji, Raphael is constantly coming up with plans and strategies to help him reach his goals, having developed into a brilliant strategist in his own right in the years since Benji left.

Synopsis:
Raphael Sendo was born on Red Fin Island in the year 763, the son of two poor crafters. When Raphael was 15 years old, his mother fell sick and his father struggled to pay for the expensive treatments that she required. In the interest of paying for her medicine, Raphael attempted to steal from a noble in the upper district of Snapper Town. Since he had no clue was he was doing, he was caught almost immediately, but was rescued by a mysterious man. The man helped Raphael escape from the home of the noble, noticing all the mistakes Raphael made and asking why he was attempting to steal from a noble. Raphael told the mysterious man of his situation, at which point the man revealed himself to be a member of the thieves guild. The mysterious stranger offered to teach Raphael how to steal in order to provide for his family, and the young man agreed instantly. This mentor was known to Raphael only as Benji, and he instilled in Raphael all the values he believed were valuable to a thief. This included behavior such as constantly checking your surroundings, and being sure not to leave any evidence of his presence. The main thing that Benji made sure that Raphael learned was to never act without a plan, believing that having a proper plan was the difference between freedom and imprisonment for any thief. Benji's training was harsh, but this was primarily because he understood the nature of their profession. If one wants to become a great thief, then they must be willing to work extremely hard on their preparation. Skills such as lock-picking and pick-pocketing came naturally to Raphael, while he struggled more with anything combat related. Benji was patient but firm with his student, understanding that he wouldn't grasp everything immediately but not allowing him to make excuses for himself. Raphael slowly improved in his combat ability, as his other abilities improved rapidly and he grew closer and closer to being a master thief. During his training, Benji had Raphael stealing from the rich residents of Snapper Town daily, paying him for everything he stole and helping him pay for his mother's medicine. After a year of training, Benji informed Raphael that he would be leaving the island of Snapper Town in order to seek fortune on the grand line. The two had grown close over the past year, seeing each other as brothers and best friends. Raphael said goodbye to his mentor, promising to meet each other again when they were both master thieves.
At 16 years old, Raphael began developing his own signature fighting style, called Kyotoryu. Raphael had had trouble up to this point when it came to dispatching enemies on the rare occasion that he was unable to sneak past an enemy. He had never been caught outright, but he had been forced to retreat after clashing with marines multiple times. He had no desire to let that happen again, so he set out to create his own style of fighting. Taking elements from multiple fighting styles, most notably karate and the techniques of the samurai he had observed. Raphael had seen plenty of samurai, as the warriors frequently came to Snapper Town to get blades from their renowned blacksmiths. Raphael greatly admired the fighting prowess of the samurai, but there was no way that he could carry around one of those large blades while he was moving stealthily. This left him with two options, to either fight with a knife or fight with his bare hands. Fighting bare-handed seemed like the best option for Raphael, and so he created Kyotoryu using techniques typically used by samurai. The main principle of Kyotoryu was using the body as a weapon, letting one's hands and feet take the place of a sword to cut down anyone who stands in front of them. Raphael trained relentlessly in the usage of this martial art, practicing in the forest of Red Fin Island and chopping down trees with his bare hands and feet. Raphael continue's to hone his fighting ability to this day, and plans to continue improving the style until he is no longer strong enough to fight.
When Raphael was 19, his mother’s condition worsened significantly. For years her sickness had been under control, with the medicine that the doctors of Snapper Town gave her keeping her healthy enough to walk around and even work, even if she got fatigued faster than she had before. All of a sudden, she was too sick to even get out of bed and the medicine she had been using for years had no effect. He consulted the House of Jung in order to find a way to cure her. The mink doctors knew how to cure her ailment, but the final ingredient to the medicine she needs is a plant locked away within the home of a noble. Raphael had been stealing from the craftsmen of Snapper Town since he was 15, but he had avoided stealing from the nobles after that night where he was caught all those years ago. Knowing that there was no other choice, Raphael broke into the noble’s home, but was caught just as he was about to take the plant by three guards. Raphael was totally unwilling to leave without getting the plant his mother needed in order to survive, and so he disposed of two of the guards immediately using Kyotoryu. As he was about to kill the final guard, the noble himself emerged from deeper within the home and finished the job. Seeing potential in Raphael, he let the young man leave with the plant; this came with a condition though: Raphael was to act as his personal assassin, eliminating anyone he was ordered to kill. Raphael didn't have much choice, as killing the noble would put him in a level of trouble far beyond where he currently was, so he accepted. Raphael served as the noble’s personal assassin for 6 more years, and the wealth he gained from this job allowed Raphael to convince both of his parents to retire, a luxury that the two poor artisans had only ever dreamed of.
Raphael enjoyed the life of a well paid assassin greatly, and was grateful for the opportunity even if he wasn’t in love with the idea of killing people for the rest of his life. Therefore, when Raphael was 25 years old, he finally went to his boss to tell him he wanted to quit. Raphael wanted to leave the island of Red Fin for good, with the knowledge that his parents would be taken care of by his earnings as an assassin. The noble agreed, but once again gave Raphael a single condition. This condition was simply for him to complete one final job. Raphael took the job, happy that there was no conflict or argument. The job was a simple one: simply go to the home of one of Snapper Town’s finest blacksmiths and steal a single dagger. Raphael had been stealing for 12 years by this point, so he had total faith in his ability to complete this task, and set out to do so that same night. When Raphael reached the home he had been instructed to rob, he picked the lock as he had so many others before it. Upon entering the Victorian-Styled home Raphael immediately knew something was wrong. He turned and attempted to leave the home, trusting his instincts and deciding to simply lock the door and return later in the night. Before he had the chance, the house was suddenly flooded with marines. Marine’s poured down the stairs of the home, and even more began walking towards the entrance to the home. A trap! Realizing what had happened, Raphael set the house ablaze using his lighter, and leapt through an open window. Understanding now that his boss had betrayed him, Raphael ran home quickly to make sure his family was safe. He was too late however, as his home had been ransacked. Inside, he found the bodies of both his parents, and he discovered that all of his beli had been stolen. Raphael was determined to make his boss pay, and took off from his home in anger, the fury in his eyes enough to strike fear into the hearts of man. Raphael spent years working as an assassin for a reason, and the same skills that had caused him to be considered valuable by the noble proved to be his undoing as his security was once again far too weak to stop his former employee from getting inside despite buffing it up tremendously in the years since the first time Raphael broke in. Raphael had a short exchange of words with his boss before cutting him down where he stood. Knowing that killing a noble would undoubtedly lead to him being pursued by the marines, Raphael decided to steal a collection of items from the noble’s home and use them to escape Red Fin Island. And that was exactly what he did, as the noble’s collection of art was enough to earn him a spot below the deck of a pirate ship. Raphael would finally be able to start his journey on the seas, and he had no intention of wasting the chance.
Name: Misthios- Thief Background: A misthios is a person with a specialized skillset who sells their services to others. Raphael has been stealing since he was 15, as it was the only way to pay for his mother's medicine. After a failed attempt at stealing on his own, Raphael was trained by a member of the Thieves Guild at the age of 15. From him Raphael learned even more about the art of stealth; Benji also trained Raphael in combat, teaching him how to fight effectively while remaining hidden in order to dispose of any security without being discovered. Raphael has been stealing constantly since then, both as a way to earn income and survive but also because he has become addicted to the thrill of it.
Raphael first begin selling his services at the age of 19 when, after dispatching of all the security in the house of a noble, he was hired by that same noble to serve as his personal assassin. He paid Raphael to eliminate his enemies, paying him handsomely while also using his influence to ensure that Raphael was never discovered. Raphael's talent with stealth was still the main reason he was never caught, and now that he isn't working for that noble anymore he sells his services to anyone with the ability to pay him. Raphael takes any job where stealth would help him complete it, whether that job requires him to steal an expensive item for someone or to remove a person from the picture. Right now your looking at a C-rank app, you can improve this by adding more to Raphael overall feelings instead of juts describing the events that happened to him, I see very small parts where it does express emotion but it's still rather small. Another thing to note is his personality in relation to history, I can't really spot anything that would cause his personality to development in such a way.
