On the site Devil Fruits are broken into three tiers. Their tier placements are based solely on their raw capabilities. The potential of the fruit lies with the User. Furthermore each category of Fruit Paramecia, Zoan, and Logia will have their own tiers.

Unlike Paramecia and Logia Zoans will have a constant Vantage that don't count toward the cap. These Vantages can only be applied once a attribute and don't change. Also their will be a explanation and canon fruits listed below to help understand the differences between tiers. Zoans also get a specific trait based on tier. This trait will be universal and applied to the Human-beast form of the Zoan user, unless stated otherwise. The normal amount of forms for Zoans are: Human Form, Human-Beast Form, and Beast form. However, through training or Rumble Balls fruits can be trained to gain multiple forms. Finally, Forms must be app'd like skills but the basic three are free.
Universal Trait
Tier 1 Tenacious Vigor: Vigor can be recovered in the same manor as normal stamina.
Tier 2 Ferocious Nature: 5% Stat Allowances that can be assigned to the Attribute they desire. 5% in Human form, 10% in Half-Beast form, and 15% in Full-Beast form.
Tier 3 Myth Zoans can pick either the trait from Tier 1 or Tier 2. Perfect Artificial Zoans are allowed to take both, but taking both comes with one 1 Disadvantage. Tier 1 Zoans that are Herbivores and Omnivores(Ancient and Modern, non-poisonous) or Insect based(non-poisonous) are considered in this tier. Their Models generally being more defensive oriented which give them a different number of advantages for their forms. In the Human form the User gains 2 Advantage. In Human-Beast form the User gains 4 Advantages. In Beast form the user gains 6 Advantages. Where this bonus is placed depends on the nature of the Zoan. A example is how the Ushi Ushi no Mi, Model: Bison would get a increase to Defense. Whilst the Tori Tori no mi, Model: Falcon can either have this bonus applied to Evasion or Accuracy.
