PIRATES
Yonko - Emperors of the Sea. These pirate captains have massive influence in the New World and are recognized as beings who could throw off the balance of the world and potentially become the next Pirate King.
Shichibukai - The Seven Warlords. Powerful and notorious pirates who have allied with the World Government in exchange for the government turning somewhat of a blind eye to them. The only Marines with the authority to take action against them are Admirals.
Currently non existent.Super Nova - These are breakout rookies who have the spotlight on them for the dastardly acts they've committed early in their journey to the top.
Privateer - A lesser degree of Shichibukai, these are pirates who have rented out their services to a specific kingdom who is apart of the World Government. They have limited protection against the law as long as they remain within this kingdom or act under their banner.
WORLD GOVERNMENT
Marines - The military sea force of the World Government and their primary instrument to administer their law on the world.
- Fleet Admiral - The highest Marine rank, and is the commander of the entire organization. It is just above admiral but below the World Government Commander-in-Chief and the Gorosei. The fleet admiral and the Upper Three admirals are the only ones within the Marines capable of legally initiating a Buster Call, as well as granting World Government agents or lower ranking Marines the right to do so.
- Admiral - The second highest Marine rank in the Navy. There are the Upper Three and Lower Three Admirals, though they are close in power, the lower three are considered below the upper three Admirals. They are crowned as the World Government's "Greatest Military Powers", as each of them possess deadly combat abilities.
- Vice Admiral - The third highest ranking Marine. These officers can have varying duties and amounts of authority and are known as some of the entities that carry out Buster Calls. There is no limit to how many can hold this rank, but to obtain it one must be notably powerful. They are well respected and prospects to become one of the next Lower Three Admirals.
- Rear Admiral - The lowest admiral rank in the Marines, they have the least amount of authority amongst the admirals, but still reign over their own troop. There is no limit to how many can hold this rank.
- Commodore - The fifth highest rank within the Marines. They have little authority over lesser ranked Marines.
- Captain - The breakaway rank where one finally has the authority to run a military branch on an island. In addition, a captain is often seen navigating the seas in order to capture pirates and keep order, in these cases, the captain is the leader of the ship, as long as there are no higher-ranking Marines on board.
- Commander - A Commander is the seventh highest rank a Marine can hold. They serve as right hand men to Captains and in the occurrence of their Captain being ill, missing in action, killed in action, etc, they assume command. This is the Marine Equivalent to a First Mate.
- Lieutenant - A Marine who is recognized as above a common foot soldier. You have no notable privileges save for being able to command Ensigns when no higher Marine power is present.
- Ensign - The lowest ranking Marine with no noteworthy authorities.
SSG - Short for Special Science Group, members of this branch are in charge of researching, creating, and developing new technology to aid in the war on piracy.
Cipher Pol - The Cipher Pols are secret cells stationed throughout the world who do investigations, assassinations and espionage for the World Government. They supplement the Intelligence Branch of the World Government's Marine forces, but can operate more as a counter-insurgency agency that also have general law enforcement duties. If they encounter pirates, they will apprehend them, but, as an agency, Cipher Pols seems to focus more on threats to the World Government than more generic criminals.
- CP-0 - Cipher Pol 0, also known as Cipher Pol Aegis Zero, is the strongest of all Cipher Pol units. They are a force shrouded in mystery, but their presence is like that of a harbinger of doom. They work for the elite of the World Nobles which includes the likes of the Gorosei. Most of their work takes place within the Grandline, more specifically the New World.
- CP-1 - Cipher Pol 1 is a group of cell of special agents assigned to the North Blue.
- CP-2 - Cipher Pol 2 is a group of cell of special agents assigned to the West Blue.
- CP-3 - Cipher Pol 3 is a group of cell of special agents assigned to the East Blue.
- CP-4 - Cipher Pol 4 is the newest formed cell group of special agents that has been assigned to the South Blue.
Commander-in-Chief - The Commander-in-Chief is the promotion from Fleet Admiral upwards. They are the No. 2 of the World Government working directly under the Gorosei.
UNDERWORLD
Underworld Kingpins - The emperors of the Underworld are the true leaders of their specific illegal activities. It isn't rare for them to have a Broker, or multiple, work directly under them. Having their hand deep in the Underworld isn't the only form of business that they are a apart of. What they provided is a service to almost everyone within the world. A example could be the the owner of the News Coo who not only supplies majority of the world with news of what is going on, but also their illegal trafficking network that has been established. In total there are only six individuals able to hold the title of Underworld Emperor.
Brokers - Those who make money off of Black Market activities.
- Lips - Brothels/Prostitution, Information Brokers, Talent Agency
- Hands - Anything that deals with the acquisition, storage, and distribution of tangible goods such as Weapons, Slaves, Drugs, Technology, Devil Fruits, etc.
- Arms - Hitmen, manpower, and underground Fighting
NOBILITY
World Noble - More commonly known as Celestial Dragons, they are descendants of the original founders of the World Government and are treated as Gods on earth. They exist at the top of the food chain in terms of authority and are allowed to commit whatever atrocities they wish such as murder or the purchase of human lives and the world government will look the other way. They live in the Holy Land, Marie Jois, but sometimes will descend from their heaven to participate in earthly affairs.
High Noble - Kings, queens, princes, and princesses recognized as leaders of kingdoms who are apart of the World Government. This privilege exist within their blood and isn't something that can be attained through claiming land alone.
Low Noble - Counts, ministers, dukes, lords, or just privileged citizens within a kingdom who have been granted higher living through their income or by a High Noble. Low Noble families can only hope to ascend to High Nobility by marrying into a High Noble family or passing down Lvl. 3 or higher Turf they own to their children.
Holy Army - A private army that is employed by a small council of World Nobles. They operate separately from the World Government, but since they are the pawns of World Nobles, they have been granted similar freedoms, privileges, and authorities that Marines have. They are oftentimes rented out to lesser nobility for their guard and security services.
FREE AGENTS
Explorers & Adventurers - Those who roam the world freely in search of adventure. Some are sponsored by nobility and have been bestowed ships, provisions, and crews.
Galley-La - An edge-cutting shipbuilding company who calls Saboady Archipelago their base of operations. They are well respected all around the world and have rented their services out to the likes of the Happo Navy, notorious pirates, and even the World Government on regular occasions.
Wise Men - A brotherhood of historians, amongst them are interpreters of Poneglyphs. They traverse the world in secret looking to unveil the history of the world.
Civilian - A commoner in the world just trying to make do.
Bounty Hunter - Combatants who make a living by tracking, beating down, and turning into wanted criminals.
BARBARIANS/TRIBES/CLANS
Kuja - An all woman tribe of exceptional warriors who primarily live on various islands in the Calm Belt.
Vikings - Battle hardened Nordic themed warriors who make a living by raiding and pillaging in the North Blue. Though human, many of their men boast gigantic frames.
Bandits - Mountain-men who live all around the world on various islands. They are unaffiliated with one another, but some prominent bandit clans do exist and hold down their own islands. They hate pirates.
Samurai - Various clans of Japanese themed warriors whose weapons and style of fighting originate from Wano. Due to the ancient legend, Yagyu-Moto, they've come to prosper and become revered in the South Blue and operate heavily within the Underworld.
Happo Navy - A proud family of warriors who run their own well organized naval military force in the West Blue. Their best known for their signature fighting style, Hasshoken.
Terrorist - Bands of hell raisers who have been the cause of many acts of pointless violence primarily in the West and South Blue.
Thieves Guild - A professional group of burglars who have been considered to be the culprits behind many missing artifacts and treasures even from nobility.
Revolutionary Army - A small faction of self-proclaimed freedom fighters who have been causing distress in the West and East Blue.
